What impact did the weather have on our Baton Rouge Real Estate Market?
The new year began with cold weather, deteriorating to wintry conditions of ice and snow two weeks in a row.
But neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor closed roads stopped Baton Rouge Real Estate or The KeyFinders Team. We hustled to beat the road closures and moved up our closings to accommodate our clients!
The impact on closed homes, however, was not as negative as one would imagine. We were able to get the job done!
Here are the year-to-date SOLD figures comparing the same period in 2013:
The entire MLS Area was even-Steven — 0.0% difference (533 sales)
East Baton Rouge Parish down 8.02 % (299 vs 275)
Livingston Parish down 8.88% (90 vs 82)
AND THE WINNER IS …
Ascension Parish
UP
32.25% (93 vs 123)
Like the weather, Real Estate is Local. Want to know about the street where you live?
